Art Walk Stoughton 2026 Artists
TBurkhalter Photography
As a nature photographer, I initially strived to capture a strong sense of place in areas of the country in which I was fortunate to work such, as California, South Dakota, and Washington State. That mission has evolved to try and capture the behavior and essence of the wild animals that call those special places home. Whether it be the fleeting moment of an animal on the hunt, or the tactile sense of a bison's almost impenetrable fur, I hope to provide my audience with a visceral reaction to my work.
Gigi Gastevich Studios
Gigi Gastevich is a textile artist working in computer-assisted weaving and knitting. She explores the relationship of technology and handcraft, investigating similarities between digital data storage and textile techniques (fun fact: many historians consider the weaving loom to be the first computer!).
Gastevich holds an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in Fiber & Materials Studies, where she was the department’s Wilson/Livingstone Fellow. She is now the owner of Kismetic Studios, a gift shop on Stoughton’s Main Street featuring handmade goods from Midwest artists.
The Painted Page
Connie Graham of The Painted Page creates collages from painted, textured and printed papers. She draws an idea of times remembered, places traveled, realistic, whimsy or an abstraction. Then she cuts, arrange and layer the painted papers into a colorful collage.
Art of John Gray
I enjoy creating whimsical scenes and fantasy art primarily in watercolor, and ink. I've lived in WI for most of my life and currently reside in Stoughton WI.
Deep Well Studios
The Vidar and Hans comic book series follows the antics and adventures of a Viking and troll living in Stoughton, trying to hide their secret identities while moonlighting as superheroes. We also have a number of linocut prints inspired by Wisconsin country landscapes and celebrating the simple joys of life.
Rachel Wilson Arts
Always “arting”…that is how Rachel Wilson's family would describe her. Her passion for painting reignited during Covid-19. Rachel paints every morning before heading into the classroom teaching 5th grade at Wilson Elementary School in Janesville. She prefers to paint tiny art–as in 4 in. or smaller. She was a 2023 and 2025 Itty Bitty Art Show winner of the Milton Public Library. Rachel’s works are available at The Villager Framing and Art Gallery in Beloit, WI, where she also offers watercolor workshops bi-monthly.
Scott by Design
Queer interior design finds its diverse and beautiful expression through Scott by Design, a creative venture by the married couple Abbey and Haley Scott. Their unique creations reflect their passion for all things queer, eco-friendly, body celebrating, neurodivergent, whimsical, and unique! Their aim is to create safe and accessible spaces, spread joy, address inequities, and make a positive impact on the world with each human that interacts with their creations.
Rogue Wovens
Jay Warner of Rogue Wovens is a local weaver to the Madison area.
His work focuses on functional pieces incorporating color and pattern.
Lucie Art
Lucie is a crafter, artist, teacher, and occasional glass whisperer.
She’s been making shiny, quirky, and beautiful pieces for years, and she loves sharing that process with others. Come enjoy the gallery, snag a glassy treasure, or take a class and join the fun. We don’t take ourselves too seriously here—but we do seriously love glass!
Born From Above Photography
While my primary purpose in my photography can readily be known in visiting my website I do print my photography for much of which includes Stoughton area landscapes, wildlife and birds. I print primarily on metal and set frame them in a very unique and natural way using wood with high character. The bulk of the inventory I have worked up has a look catering to those who like the rustic “cabiny” northwoods look.
Natalie Jo Wright
Natalie Jo Wright is a multidisciplinary artist and writer based in Stoughton, Wisconsin. With a BFA in Drawing from the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design and an MFA in Textile Design from the Rhode Island School of Design, she has been making and exhibiting artwork for over 25 years. Across the decades, Natalie’s artwork has evolved alongside her own life. She has moved through many visual languages, from large-scale wildlife portraits to intimate pet commissions, surreal self-portraits, pop-surreal animals, and now the layered, nostalgic interiors of her four-eyed cats. She worked in acrylics for many years before transitioning into oils, drawn to their depth, patience, and richness.
Cat Fish Clay
Cat Fish Clay work is rooted in the process of wood firing. Nicholas’s role in that process is to form objects that interact harmoniously with flame, ash, and coals. Nature and my artist collaborators play a deeply important part in finishing the work. I hope that people will enjoy my work in the same way they might observe a rock found on a beach: turn it around, compare the different sides, notice how it catches the light, and appreciate how nature has made its mark.
Willow Art
Hal Shaw carves pictures in wood by hand.
